Following an up-and-down 2016 season, the Pella High softball team had three players named to the Little Hawkeye all-Conference squad. Sara Tallman was picked to the first team all-conference as an outfielder. In 2016, she led the team in average with a .514 clip, second best in the league, and went 16-for-19 in stolen bases, good for third most in the conference. Tallman’s 57 hits were also tops of all hitters this season. Alexa Dingeman was also chosen to the first team all-conference as a utility player. She hit .333 on the year with three homers and 23 RBI. Her sister, Lydia, was picked to the second team all-conference. Lydia had similar stats, as she also took three balls over the fence, was second in the conference with 16 doubles, she drove in 24 and had a .355 average. Kinzi Van Wyk and Hannah Emmert were each honorable mentions for the Lady Dutch, who went 15 – 19 this season.
