Due to her outstanding sophomore season, Pleasantville Trojan Softball shortstop Andie Sowers has been honored with 3rd team All-State Honors for class 2A. Sowers was the offensive leader for the Trojans in nearly every category, batting an even .500 at the plate with a total of 43 hits and her team leading triples with four,home runs with three, RBI with 30, and stolen bases with seven. The sophomore also showed up defensively for the Trojans, with .972 fielding percentage and making only three errors all season long. Both sophomore Corinne Thomas and senior Avari Heinz-Penz were given All-State Honorable Mention honors for the team as well. Thomas led the team in doubles and had a .368 average, while Heinz-Penz had a .479 average and committed just one error all season long in the field.
