Heavy rain pushed through south central Iowa Tuesday.
Over an 1.3 inches fell in Pella, and roughly half an inch was recorded in Knoxville. Southeast parts of the county received a bit more, with areas near Tracy and Bussey receiving nearly two inches of precipitation. In the most recent U.S. Drought Monitor Report last week, abnormally dry conditions remained in place throughout all of Marion County. Most of the county was in a short-term moderate drought in June and July.
