After a large crop of seniors from 2015 graduated and left a large void in the Pleasantville Trojan Boys Cross Country Team, Head Coach Aaron Fichter told KNIA/KRLS Sports that there are several upper classman that he is looking towards to provide incoming senior leadership.
The group that graduated last year transformed the program, and were instrumental in helping coach Fichter implement offseason training programs that helped buoy the program to greater heights, and now coach Fichter has his eyes on another senior this season to help continue the culture that has been years in the making. Brandon Gibson, who didn’t join until just before the season started last year, has a good chance to take the top spot for the Trojans this upcoming running season. Fichter goes on to say that there are a number of candidates that he thinks will continue to improve and bring the program to greater heights this upcoming season. A full preview of Pleasantville Cross Country can be heard on the Knoxville Hyvee Radio Coaches Corner this Saturday.
