The honors continue to come in for the best baseball player to ever suit up for the Pella Little Dutch.
Grant Judkins was named the Graphic Edge Player of the Year by the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association (IHSBCA) earlier today in Mason City.
Judkins completed 2016 with another stellar campaign to end his career with the Dutch, finishing the season as a 10-1 pitcher with 123 strikeouts and a 0.64 ERA, and hitting .421 with 25 extra base hits, 12 stolen bases, and 45 runs scored.
The accolades racked up during the future Iowa Hawkeye’s high school career, as he was named the 2015 Iowa Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year before the 2016 season began.

Judkins and Head Coach Jesse Jablonski have been competing in the IHSBCA All-Star Series this weekend as part of the Large Schools East Team. Judkins in his first start of the weekend went five innings on the mound, giving up one earned run with 10 strikeouts. He was also 2-4 with an RBI double in the game he played.
Zeb Adreon and Brock Busick of Pleasantville are on the Small Schools West Team at this year’s series.
