A resolution passed at this week’s city council meeting finalizing plans for Vermeer Corporation to work with the City of Pella to improve the water system along the Vermeer Mile.
City of Pella Finance Director Corey Goodenow says the city is working with Vermeer by purchasing the materials necessary for water main upgrades, and the corporation will install them. Goodenow says partnerships like these are a big cost benefit to both parties. The Vermeer Mile project is set to be done by the end of the year.
