A Reasnor man has received prison time for sexually abusing a young girl.
John D. Veenstra, 53, pled guilty to two counts of lascivious acts with a child, both class C felonies. He received two consecutive ten-year sentences in Marion County District Court Friday.
The Pella Police Department concluded an investigation last year into multiple assaults they say occurred over a three year period from 2006 to 2009 involving a single victim, who was under the age of 12 at the time. Veenstra was originally charged with three counts of sexual abuse in the 2nd degree, each a class B felony.
