A Knoxville Man was honored as Iowan of the Day at the State Fair Monday.
Curt Schwanebeck was recognized with a ceremony and VIP access to the Fair. Schwanebeck spoke to KNIA/KRLS News after the ceremony and said there are many others deserving of awards in Knoxville. He adds that volunteerism and community betterment are their own rewards, but he did enjoy his time at the fair. Iowan of the Day is awarded by the Blue Ribbon Foundation, which supports the Fair. The award celebrates individuals who go above and beyond to make their communities a better place.
