Ames Construction crews and Missouri River Energy Services staff are now entering the 3rd year of work at the Lake Red Rock Hydroelectric Project.
Vern Cochran with Missouri River Services says overall, progress has been on track in most areas of the project despite some challenges.
He believes the original completion time frame of spring 2018 may be tough to reach, and expects the project to be finished later that year.
Crews have been working to install a new hydroelectric power plant on the Lake Red Rock dam under Highway T-15, with more than 18,000 homes powered after it’s completed.
