Pleasantville Schools
Pleasantville Superintendent of Schools Tony Aylsworth says two Pleasantville Community School District employees were made aware of an accusation of misconduct by a school employee late on the evening of Monday, August 29.
The Pleasantville administration immediately began a level one investigation on the evening of the 29th and continued early in the morning of August 30. Prior to the start of the first day of school, the employee under investigation was placed on administrative leave, pending the outcome of the investigation. Currently, Pleasantville school administration, police, and legal counsel are investigating the matter.
Because the pending investigation involves personnel matters, school administration, faculty, and board members are legally prevented from making any comment. The Pleasantville School Board will be notified when the investigation is completed. They will then review the results and take appropriate action based upon any recommendations that are made as a result. Aylsworth hopes parents are assured all necessary precautions and steps are and will continue to be taken to ensure the safety of Pleasantville students.
