The Pleasantville High School Baseball team has received a national award for academic excellence from the American Baseball Coaches Association.
The award honors high school and college programs that posted a GPA over 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for the academic year. Over 150 high school and college programs were recognized. Only two teams were honored from the state of Iowa. Pleasantville Superintendent Tony Aylsworth says the school is very proud of the team.
