At approximately 7:06 Saturday morning Marion County residents felt an earthquake.
Reports came in to KNIA/KRLS News from all over the county. The U.S.G.S reports a preliminary magnitude of 5.6 on the Richter scale, and that it originated 14 kilometers northwest of Pawnee, Oklahoma at 7:02 am. Aftershocks may occur. This ties the record for the strongest earthquake in Oklahoma history. That quake occurred in November of 2011.
