The Knoxville Airport is giving visitors a chance to see the goings on of the airport from the inside with its annual Fly-in and Drive-in breakfast.
Biscuits and gravy will be served and activities for both adults and children will be available. Airplane rides, a petting zoo, Mercy One, and the Iowa Aviation Heritage Museum are just a few of the attractions according to Airport Manager Dan Van Doneslaar. Van Doneslaar says the annual event gives everyone a chance to see the airport and its aircraft up close. The Fly-in and Drive-in will be held September 10 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. The cost to attend is $7 for adults, $4 for children under 10 and free for children 5 and under.
