Pella’s girls took five of the first 13 places and won the 16-team Grinnell Invitational last night.
The Lady Dutch had a team score of 45, well ahead of the 77 scored by the second place host Tigers. Kelsey Blommers paced Pella for the first time this year with a fourth place finish.
Knoxville finished 11th led by Emery Neer in 51st place.
Grinnell won the boys race, with Pella taking fourth and Knoxville in 9th. Blaise Wyngardner took third for the Little Dutch, while teammate Nick Bernhagen finished 12th in his first race of the year. The top Panther finisher was Jack McDonald, who was 26th.
