The Monroe Old Settlers Committee is hosting their 3rd annual Smoker Showdown this weekend in downtown Monroe.
The event is scheduled from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday, and includes music and a car show. The committee says they are looking for participants in the cookoff and other activities. Registration for the Smoker Showdown costs $25 prior to the event day and $30 on Saturday.
