Pleasantville Schools
Residents in the Pleasantville School District will vote today from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. on a bond issue aimed at expanding elementary school facilities.
Voting will take place at the Pleasantville Community Center. Superintendent Tony Aylsworth says the district is experiencing growth at lower grades and needs an expansion in order to maintain the quality of education and smaller class sizes the community has enjoyed The vote will decide whether or not to leverage taxpayer dollars for 10 new elementary classrooms, structural updates and a cafeteria.
