Pella Christian’s No. 2 ranked football team is hoping David Kacmarynski’s return will mean business as usual tonight against 0-5 Woodward Academy.
While arguably playing the best they have so far this year against Mount Ayr–to the tune of a 62-14 thrashing without their leader to due state disqualification rules, Assistant Coach Brad Jungling says the team is at its best with Kac back taking snaps.
“David did a great job leading last week, he was able to practice with us and he was out there with us and he led well through that, which was pretty cool to see as a coach and I’m as a dad for Rich [Kacmarynski],” he says. “Then he wasn’t able to be on the sidelines which was disappointing, but he was still a very important part of our team last week and it’s great to have him back.”
Pella Christian’s high-octane offense will hope to maintain the rhythm they’ve had all year against the Knights struggling D. Currently, PC is scoring over 57 points per game, which is tops in the state by ten points over the next closest team, Van Meter.
Coverage of tonight’s Eagles home game begins at 6:30 p.m. with pregame coverage on KNIAKRLS.com and kickoff at 7 p.m.
