The Marion County Humane Society in Knoxville held its 30th Anniversary Party Saturday.
One of the founders, Tami Montgomery told KNIA/KRLS about the success of the event and of the Humane Society over the last three decades, going from just a few runs for accommodating dogs to a well-staffed operation that has had pets adopted from as far away as northern Michigan. Facility tours, t-shirts, a photo booth and appearances by adopted animals highlighted the party. Director Cindy Rasmussen encourages anyone with an interest in the Humane Society or its animals to stop and see the facility.
