The Marion County 4-H program is kicking off a new 4-H club.
The Animal Science Club is geared towards teaching youth more about animals and the animal science field. Animal Science is a non-traditional 4-H club which is focused on getting hands-on experience with animals. Members can also belong to another traditional 4-H club, but membership in a traditional club is not required. The club will meet on the third Tuesday of each month with each meeting focusing on a new topic or species of animal. The first meeting is October 18 at 6:30pm at the Marion County Extension Office. Animal Science Club is open to 4th-12th graders. For more information and to register contact Lauren Petersen at 641-842-2014 or lpetersen@iastate.edu by October 13th.
