The KNIA/KRLS Save-a-Life Radiothon continues this week with the Knoxville Hospital and Clinics half of the annual event.

Dr. Bob Leonard will talk Thursday with medical professionals, cancer survivors, and their families from 4 to 7 p.m. on KNIA/KRLS. Cindy Crozier with Knoxville Hospital and Clinics tells KNIA/KRLS early detection can prevent suffering for patients and those who care about them, by avoiding chemotherapy, financial burdens and grief. Knoxville Hospital and Clinics, Pella Regional Health Center and Marion County Public Health partner each October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the KNIA/KRLS Save-a-Life Radiothon.
