Pella School Board

Enrollment is up this year in the Pella Community School District.

Superintendent Greg Ebeling says while the district underwent budget reductions last year, predictions and trends showed likely stagnation or decline with students due to graduating vs. incoming students. Ebeling says most of the new families in the district are doing so through open enrollment. Public school funding in Iowa is directly tied to enrollment, and an increase means more room in the general fund.

The official enrollment numbers in Pella will be certified at their next meeting on October 24th.
