Pella City Council (four members)

The Pella City Council will hold the third reading of a zoning ordinance that would allow Pella Regional Health Center and Davita Healthcare Partners build a dialysis facility southeast of the hospital.

The council will make final consideration of the zoning change from residential to institutional for four vacant properties at the corner of Hazel and Jefferson Streets.

A review of the Lamp Post Lounge’s liquor license is also on the agenda, as the council decides to issue another renewal after conditionally approving the existing license in 2015. City staff says there are pending criminal charges against the Lamp Post Lounge’s owner, and are recommending an extension until those are filed.

The Pella City Council meeting begins at 7 p.m. tonight in the Public Safety Complex on Liberty Street.
