The Pella City Council approved a zoning change that allows Pella Regional Health Center and Davita Healthcare Partners to build a dialysis facility southeast of the hospital at their meeting last night.
The zoning changes from residential to institutional for four vacant properties at the corner of Hazel and Jefferson Streets. A review of the Lamp Post Lounge’s liquor license was also on the agenda. The motion to approve failed, but a motion to accept the application was passed, meaning the bar can operate until pending criminal matters are resolved. City staff says there are pending criminal charges against the Lamp Post Lounge’s owner.
