The Pella City Council approved a zoning change that allows Pella Regional and Davita Healthcare Partners to proceed in plans to construction a new dialysis center southeast of the hospital.

City Administrator Mike Nardini says the move allows an expansion of services provided by the hospital. He does say a site plan will undergo the regular process through planning and zoning before final approval is given.
