Three area schools will compete in Ankeny this afternoon for a shot at qualifying for either the individual or team honors of attending the state tournament, Pleasantville, Twin Cedars, and Melcher-Dallas.

The Trojans come in with hopes of qualifying after a strong showing at the Pride of Iowa Conference meet on the girls side, where the Trojans were battling injuries and just nine points from a second place finish. Mel Johnson and Taylor Clark have been solid finishers for the Trojans and Jordan Dursky who has been battling injury all season, and all three will look towards a medal finish. Josh Pulse on the boys side has been the Trojans most consistent runner, and has medaled in most meets this season.

Twin Cedars has struggled for depth this season, but are looking towards Kaylee Bruns and Hunter Swope.
The meet is scheduled for 4pm in Ankeny, and full results will be available on KNIAKRLS.com as soon as they are available.
