For first time in their 12 year history, the Pella Christian football team is hoping to close the books on a perfect regular season.
Currently 8-0, the No. 2 Eagles will look to make it a clean nine against the scuffling 3-5 Woodward-Granger Hawks during Senior Night on Eagle Lane.
But with a district title in their back pockets, Pella Christian has already guaranteed this won’t be the last time David Kacmarynski, Levi Jungling, and the rest of the most talented senior class in program history will attempt to torch another opposing defense.
Head Coach Rich Kacmarynski says it would be extra special to give themselves a great chance at two-rounds of potential home field advantage by slamming the door on the Hawks.
“That’s one of the things we talked about as far as Woodward-Granger is concerned,” he says. “We don’t want to limp into the playoffs, we want to get this train up to ramming speed and hit the playoffs at full speed.”
Coverage from Pella Christian High School begins at 6:30 p.m. on KNIAKRLS.com and the KRLS2 stream, with Andrew Schneider and Larry Hessing calling the regular season finale. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
