The Pleasantville Football season is over after a heartbreaking loss to the Madrid Tigers last night 27-20.

The Trojans would go up 6-0 early in the game on a Cael Lester rushing touchdown, but two straight turnovers led to 13 Madrid points which would be the halftime score. The Trojans eventually found themselves in a 20-6 hole to start the fourth, and traded touchdowns and were eventually down 27-13 with less than four minutes to go in the game.

The Trojans got a clutch touchdown from Gauge Van Haalen, and then converted the ensuing onside kick to get the ball back with two minutes to go trailing only a touchdown. Madrid would force an interception to ice the game and end the Trojans season. Head Coach Gabe Bakker said that he is sad to see the senior class go.
