The Pleasantville Football season is over after a heartbreaking loss to the Madrid Tigers last night 27-20.

The Trojans would go up 6-0 early in the game on a Cael Lester rushing touchdown, but two straight turnovers led to 13 Madrid points which would be the halftime score. The Trojans eventually found themselves in a 20-6 hole to start the fourth, and traded touchdowns and were eventually down 27-13 with less than four minutes to go in the game.

The Trojans got a clutch touchdown from Gauge Van Haalen, and then converted the ensuing onside kick to get the ball back with two minutes to go trailing only a touchdown. Madrid would force an interception to ice the game and end the Trojans season. Head Coach Gabe Bakker said that he is sad to see the senior class go. The Trojans end their season with an 8-2 record, and a full season recap can be heard on the Knoxville Hyvee Radio Coaches Corner in the coming weeks.
