New school records and four events qualified for the State Swimming Meet made for a good day in the pool for the Indianola/Knoxville swimmers on Saturday. The team finished third behind Dowling and West Des Moines Valley. Individually, from Knoxville, Taylor Purvis, Meredith Clingman and Lauren Clingman set a team record and qualified for State in the 200 medley relay. Purvis and Lauren Clingman set another team record and made the State Meet in the 200 freestyle relay, Purvis qualified in the 100 backstroke and Clingman and Purvis will swim at State in the 400 freestyle relay. The State Swim Meet in next weekend in Marshalltown.
