It’s been six years since the Pella Christian volleyball team has been to the state tournament. Only Saint Albert of Council Bluffs stands in their way.

The 25-12 Eagles will make the trek to Creston this evening to take on the seventh-ranked Saintes, who are 25-4.

Pella Christian Coach John Evenhouse says that his team is playing well enough to earn a trip to Cedar Rapids, but they need to show that on the court tonight.

“We’ve scouted Council Bluffs, and whoever plays better will win tonight. It’s not like we’re going to roll over them or anything like that, but it should be a good match.”

First serve is at 7:00 tonight at Creston High School.
