Despite some injuries that impacted some key runners, the Pleasantville Cross Country team still made an impact and saw some growth in the program.

Last season at the Pride of Iowa Conference Meet the Trojan girls had one runner in the top 20, and this season despite all the injuries placed three in the top 21 even facing some of the top cross country teams in the state such as powerhouse Nodaway Valley. On the boys side Josh Pulse is returning for the squad, as he medaled in a majority of events for the Trojans this season. Head Coach Aaron Fichter said that in order for the program to grow, there will have to be more offseason work. He went on to say that it there are no surprises for offseason training, it just takes hard work.
