Marion County Auditor Jake Grandia tells KNIA/KRLS News about 7,500 absentee ballot requests had been made in Marion County as of November 1.

He says in the 2012 election 8,800 absentee ballots were received prior to election day. By party affiliation, 3446 Republican, 2261 Democratic, 1699 with no party affiliation, and 14 classified other have been requested. These numbers are not representative of voting totals, as regardless of registration voters can cast ballots however they wish. Election day is Tuesday, November 8.
