The Pella City Council accepted the final contract for work on the Washington Street Reconstruction.

City Administrator Mike Nardini says this past summer the project from East 1st to Hazel cost the city $915,000.

“It was complete street reconstruction, which was not only the pavement for the street construction, but also the underground utlities, namely the water main, sanitary sewer, and additional storm sewer,” Nardini says.

Nardini says they also accepted a quantities adjustment change order of $37,000 to adjust for the final number of materials used and work completed by the contractor.
