A milestone for the future of Knoxville’s VA hospital is approaching.

With operations moving to the new Community Based Outpatient Clinic and the lease with the Knoxville Veteran’s Alliance expiring December 27, the future of the historic campus is uncertain. VA Central Iowa Director Gail Graham tells KNIA/KRLS News the VA is working with property management teams to determine a productive future for the soon to be vacant buildings. She says some options are already being considered by VA officials. Graham says the VA is just as invested in finding a path forward for the campus as the concerned citizens in Knoxville are.
