Testing of the federal emergency cell phone alert system is underway this afternoon and may possibly extend into the evening.

Marion County Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Anderson tells KNIA/KRLS News the tests are happening at the Federal level, that there is no emergency, and to please not call 911 regarding the tests. The one to count on for information during an emergency is KNIA/KRLS.
