Central College seniors Aaron Marcellus and Zach Matter have received weekly honors after Central pummeled Simpson 49-14 on Saturday.

Marcellus, a kicker, has been named the Iowa Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for the fifth time in his career. He went 6-for-6 on extra points and kicked off eight times, averaging 61.5 yards per attempt.

Matter, a safety, was named to the D3Football.com Team of the Week. He led the Dutch with 10 tackles, including seven solo stops, and he added both a pass break-up and a game-sealing interception.

Matter, Marcellus and 21 other seniors will wrap up their Dutch careers as Central heads to Decorah on Saturday for the season finale against Luther.
