For the first time in program history, the Pella volleyball is heading to the state semifinals.

The Lady Dutch swept Nevada (25-20 25-23 25-15) in the class 4A state tournament game heard live on 92.1 KRLS.

Head Coach Catie Brand tells KNIA/KRLS Sports she was impressed with how the team responded to a closely-fought series with the Cubs.

Emily Holterhaus led the way with 15 kills and Natalie Clayberg had 9. The team racked up nine blocks as well.

Pella plays in the final four of the Class 4A bracket Thursday, when they take on Bishop Heelan at noon. Pregame begins in 11:30 a.m. on 92.1 KRLS.

Pella AD Dale Otte says they have 200 tickets for sale today only at the Career Academy for Thursday’s game. Football tickets will also be available. The sale of football tickets will end at 1pm on Thursday.
