Local schools have been receiving gifts aimed to help students connect in friendship with one another.

Bruxvoort’s Decorating has been donating Friendship Benches throughout the Pella and Pella Christian school buildings this month. Owners Russ and Jacque Zondervan tell KNIA/KRLS News they are making the efforts through an organization called Tiny Girl, Big Dream.

They gave a bench to Pella Christian Grade School earlier this month and made presentations at Lincoln Elementary and Jefferson Intermediate School yesterday.
