Dancers in Marion County made a good account of themselves in the High School State Solo competition at held at Newton High School.
Kaelyn Hough, Lane Franck and Jaden Hamilton competed in the Class V Category. All three dancers received a Division One Rating requiring an average of 60-70 points on a 70pt scale and all three dancers placed in the top half of the Class. Franck placed 5th overall and Hamilton was crowned the Class V Title Winner for 2017. Pleasantville’s Emma Padellford, Mikayla Clary and Taylor Ripperger also took to the dance floor, placing in the top twelve in class II. Knoxville Dance Coach Heidi Feldman expressed pride at her athletes’ efforts to KNIA/KRLS News. Hard work and single minded dedication have led to these outstanding showings according to Feldman. Knoxville will host regional team competition Saturday, Nov 12th.
