It was one of the biggest days in Pella High School’s athletic history with a volleyball-football double feature, with a pair of games heard live on 92.1 KRLS.

Pella’s back-to-back defending champion football team will have the chance to make it three in a row after Ryan Van Wyk scored on the final play of the game to give Pella a 34-30 victory over Xavier.

The Lady Dutch volleyball team came back from an 8-10 deficit in the final set and scored seven of the last eight points to defeat Bishop Heelan yesterday afternoon.
