The Pella Christian girls cross-country squad didn’t have a lot of team success this fall. In fact, many meets they didn’t even register a team score.
However, Coach Jocelyn Meinders was very happy with the way her girls improved from the start of the year to the end, and she says that it was very easy to measure that progress.
“We had our first meet at the Central course, and our state qualifying meet at the Central course. So for those varsity kids to see the amount of progress that they made is really fun. And we had a lot of progress. We had 10 kids finish that race, and they cut off a combined 10-and-a-half minutes from their time from the first meet.”
Freshman Annalise Admiral blossomed into the Eagles top runner, leading the pack for Pella Christian in most of the meets this season.
