With the recent news of two officers killed in the Des Moines metro area still sending waves through the law enforcement community, many in local communities have rallied to support police.

On Friday, the Pella HyVee delivered some snacks for the weekend for all of the Pella Police Staff. HyVee Store Director Derek Sparks says it’s the least they could do for what the Pella PD does for the community. Lt. Paul Haase with the Pella PD says they’ve been overwhelmed by continued local support after last week’s tragedy. He’s thankful for the response of many around the nation as law enforcement grieved.
