The Knoxville School Board met in regular session last night.
The board reviewed final certified enrollment. Superintendent Cassi Pearson says enrollment is down about 31 students from last year’s class. The total financial impact will be the removal of $200,000 from supplement state aid which when last passed through the legislature awarded about $6,500 per student. Pearson says the school will need to find new ways to tighten their belt while continuing to offer quality education to students in the district.
