The PCM Mustangs will get their season started December 3rd as they travel to Dallas Center-Grimes for a season opening tournament.

Two Sophomores on the Mustang squad that will look to have success in that tournament and throughout the 2016-17 season are Sophomores Wes Cummings and Jarron Trausch. Cummings a 145 pound state qualifier a year ago and Trausch the 160 pound state qualifier don’t just share the mat. The two shared the same backfield this past football season as the two helped lead the Mustangs to a 9-2 record. Cummings ran for 1,223 yards and was the first team all-district running back for district 6 while Trausch also had some touches in the back field but was most notably a first team all-district linebacker for the Mustangs. Both Mustangs will look to build off success from the gridiron and experience from their freshmen year of wrestling as they try to get back to the state tournament in 2016 and content for a state championship.
