Knoxville Schools will be implementing a pop-up professional development session at the Middle School after Thanksgiving break.

The session is focused on helping teachers learn to use the Canvas Student Management System in a valuable way according to Mandy Hudson, who is coordinating the effort. Canvas is a computer program that gives teachers tools to organize classroom tasks and intuitively communicate with students. The pop-up will allow teachers to stop by the Instructional Coaching room during planning time to get personalized help with Canvas. Hudson says she is excited to provide more personalized attention in getting the system working and meet teachers where they are on the program.
