Lingering injuries from the football season have already impacted the health of the Pleasantville Trojan Basketball team for the upcoming season.
Pleasantville center, second leading returning scorer and leading returning rebounder Mac Harken will be out for the season. Harken averaged 6.3 points and grabbed 121 rebounds for the squad last year, but more importantly the leadership provided by the senior on the court will be lost. Pleasantville Head Coach Joel Allman said the while losing Mac will certainly be a blow to the squad, he has some young guys ready to step up. The Trojans will get their season started on Tuesday against Melcher-Dallas, a girl-boy doubleheader that can be heard on KNIAKRLS.com via the KNIA3 stream.
