Winning has not been something that the Melcher-Dallas Boys Basketball Squad has done in recent seasons. A one-win season last year followed a winless season two years ago. While Coach Jim Wells does not like to talk about losing, he says the last two seasons should serve as a motivator for his team this year. Wells likes this year’s team with returning players Blaise Cooper, who led the Saints last year with 7.6 rebounds per game and leading scorer Paul Karpan, who scored nearly seven points per game. The Saints get things underway at home against Pleasantville on Tuesday.
