Data on Marion County write-in votes obtained from the Auditor’s office shows there was support for candidates not listed on the ballot.

Democratic Senator Bernie Sanders received the most support of any off-ballot presidential candidate with 45 votes. Republican presidential candidates Governor John Kasich, Senator Ted Cruz and Dr. Ben Carson received 15 votes apiece and Speaker of the House Paul Ryan collected 22 ballots. 13 people voted for now Vice-President Elect Mike Pence for President.
