A former security guard at Central College and his fiancé who were accused of stealing merchandise from campus received probation following plea agreements filed in Marion County District Court.

Parker Bollhoefer, 20, and his girlfriend Lyndi Littrel, 18, were identified by police as suspects in a series of thefts this past summer.

Bollhoefer pled guilty to 1st degree theft, a class C felony, and Littrel agreed to a reduced charge of 3rd degree theft. Each received three years probation and deferred judgment in court Wednesday.

According to the Pella Police Department, the two were accused of stealing a wedding party sheet cake, merchandise from the Spirit Shoppe, and a large flat screen television. Investigators believed Bollhoefer used his access as a security guard to carry out the thefts, and claim Littrel was culpable and aware of her boyfriend’s activities.
