Two longtime Knoxville Hospital and Clinics employees are retiring soon.

Carol Troendle, who has worked as a clerk, secretary and typist for 44 years and Cindy Pettyjohn, who started in X-ray and imaging 42 years ago and now works in the clinic, tell KNIA/KRLS News they have appreciated and enjoyed the time they have spent at the hospital. They agree Knoxville Hospital and Clinics is a great place to work filled with wonderful people who have become their friends. Both women remember working in the hospital when it was located in what is now City Hall. Troendle plans to spend time with her husband in her retirement and Pettyjohn hopes to travel and get on the Ellen Degeneres show.
