Knoxville’s Helping Hands food pantry is asking the community for help this holiday season as they try to fill Christmas food baskets for needy families.
Chuck Galeazzi with Helping Hands says 100 turkeys are needed to fill Christmas orders. Helping Hands hopes to fill all orders by December 20 so they can be distributed on December 21. Galeazzi asks for consideration of the poor and marginalized. He says eating a good meal around the table with family and friends is special privilege that should be extended to as many people as possible during this season of giving.
